Come join us contra dancing on Saturday nights in Lenox, Massachusetts in the Lenox Community Center, at 65 Walker Street. Experience the pleasure of dancing on a beautiful wood floor, in a high-ceiling second floor (handicap accessible) ballroom with a raised stage.
Admission is $10 and $5 for students New Dancers - 2nd dance free!.
Dances begin
with a beginner introduction at 8:00 followed by more experienced-level
dances from 8:30 to 11:30. Refreshments are offered during the social
break from dancing. All the dances are taught. Come alone or with others.
Dances are held 3rd Saturday of each month.

We're lucky to have one of the most in-demand bands currently playing for New England dances to perform for us! Bill Olsen is an accomplished player, caller, and writer of contra dances, and is also a very entertaining presence on the stage.
The The Flying Garbanzos , a favorite band in from our area, are a four-piece contra dance band who play original, contemporary and traditional instrumental tunes, generally of Irish, French-Canadian and Appalachian origin. Jon Greene calls dances throughout the Berkshires and the Albany area.
Nor'easter plays a joyous, inspired blend of styles, including Irish, Scottish, New England, French-Canadian, and old-time. The Boston Celtic Music Festival has this to say about Nor'easter: "A splendid exponent of the exciting new-generation contra dance scene that has blossomed in Boston, and throughout New England, in the past decade." Chris Weiler calls from southern New Hampshire, and is returning to Lenox after a really wonderful evening last August.
